Terms of Service

Effective date: May 25, 2026

Agreement to terms

By accessing this website or requesting services from Nova Runner & Binding Co.(“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.

Services

Nova Runner & Binding Co. provides custom carpet binding, stair runner fabrication and installation, hallway runner installation, and area rug resizing for residential and light commercial properties in Northern Virginia.

Estimates provided through this website are preliminary and non-binding. A final written contract will be provided before any work begins, as required by Virginia Code §54.1-1121 for home improvement work.

Virginia home improvement contractor requirements

Under Virginia law, home improvement contractors are required to hold a valid license issued by the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR). Nova Runner & Binding Co. operates in compliance with applicable Virginia licensing requirements. License information is available upon request.

Virginia law requires a written contract for home improvement work valued at $1,000 or more (Va. Code §54.1-1121). You will receive a written contract before any work begins. Do not sign a blank contract or pay in full before work is completed.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates submitted through our website are requests for a quote — not binding agreements. Actual pricing may vary based on an in-home measurement, material selection, and scope of work. All prices will be confirmed in a written contract before work commences.

Payment

Payment terms are specified in your written contract. We accept payment by cash, check, or credit card. We do not require payment in full before work is completed. A deposit may be required for material purchases; this will be clearly stated in your contract.

Cancellation and scheduling

You may cancel or reschedule an appointment by contacting us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellation of a signed contract after materials have been ordered may result in forfeiture of any material deposit, as detailed in your contract.

Warranty

Nova Runner & Binding Co. warrants that all installation work will be performed in a workmanlike manner. Specific warranty terms, including duration and coverage, will be stated in your written contract. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper cleaning, flooding, or normal wear and tear.

Customers enrolled in the BindingCare™ Refresh plan receive additional coverage as described in their plan agreement.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the county where the services were performed.
